Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy is the personalised application of yoga techniques to meet the needs and interests of the individual.  

These may include injury rehab, pain management, supporting a health condition, fitness goals, or help with poor sleep, digestion, stress, or anxiety.  A physical ailment might affect your sleep, energy, mood, and even confidence. Body, mind, and energy all affect each other and all need to be considered.  Alongside existing supports such as physiotherapy, yoga therapy gives you time see the big picture of your overall well-being and offers tools and skills to rebalance aspects of your life.

A yoga therapy session is generally one hour, and with focus on your wellness goals, you have time to ask questions and experience yoga practices which are then written up for you to follow.  These may include breath practices, certain movements, posture adaptions, or suggested changes to your daily routine.  Often a few sessions are booked, a week or two apart, to give you time to embed new routines and get comfortable with any new practices before reviewing what is effective and what may need adapting.

Our physiotherapy clinic based on Bath Parade in Cheltenham was established over 45 years ago and is the longest-standing in all of Cheltenham.
